Prague – A City of Symbols. The Golem, Kafka, the Astronomical Clock, alchemy, gargoyles, winding medieval streets, and monumental architecture all shape Prague’s unmistakable visual identity. Pop Machine brings together the city's legends and historic engravings with the aesthetics of pop art, street art, and contemporary graphic design, transforming Prague’s timeless black-and-white stories into vibrant works of art.

Pop Machine is not a souvenir shop, but a gallery of contemporary original prints that reinterpret Prague’s stories and iconic symbols as modern collectible artworks. Every print is created using the traditional technique of hand-pulled screen printing in a limited edition. Each piece is individually numbered and signed by the artist.

The curator of Pop Machine is graphic artist Martin Fischer. His visual style was strongly influenced by Prague’s skateboarding and street culture. He created the visual identity of Mystic Sk8 Cup, one of Prague’s most iconic skateboarding events, and was a member of the art collective Ztohoven, known for its work at the intersection of art, public space, and social commentary. Since 2014, Martin has dedicated himself entirely to screen printing, mastering every step of the process—from mixing acrylic inks and preparing the screens to printing each individual layer by hand. Every print takes several days to produce, making each piece a unique original.
